PETER SILBERMAN: IMPERMANENCE

i am beyond excited about this album. yesterday, i listened to the antlers’ frontman, peter silberman talk with bob boilen about life, his return to music and his first solo album. back in 2014, peter lost his hearing in his left ear, forcing him to acquire a more quiet lifestyle leaving his friends, family and fans in the noisy world he once knew. after living in his new found silence, his hearing began to progress and he began playing music again… in a whole new way with a whole new sound.

“I started trying to play again and trying to sing again, testing where the boundary was of the sensitivity and of the pain of it. What I found was that if I sang very quietly and if I played guitar very quietly that this would be a path for me.”
